These boxes are a bit expensive but absolutely worth it if you use wood pellets. They are really well designed, from the size and placement of the holes, to the depth of used litter (just enough so you have to change it before it becomes gross), and even the scoop works great. There is a mark on the inside so you can see how much fresh litter to add. The cardboard box it comes in even has instructions to make it into a little house - my cats LOVED IT.
